Open house is from noon- 3:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there! Congratulations and thank you to all who made MarianFest XXVII a success. Nearly 600 guests - parents, alumnae, Marian's Board of Directors, faculty and staff, the Servants of Mary and many other special friends - attended on October 11, 2008. Over 400 parent volunteers and 150 student volunteers also helped make this spectacular event the concert of a lifetime.

Simply follow the Bookstore link at the bottom of Marian’s home page (www.marianhighschool.net) Congratulations to four Marian seniors for their academic recognition from the 2009 National Merit Scholarship Program. Semifinalists include Mary Gambrel, Amanda McIntyre, Emily Mitchell and Samantha Treinen. The nationwide pool of Semifinalists, which represents less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors, includes the highest scoring entrants in each state. Commended students include Rosemary Kelly, Alexandra Lohaus and Caitlin Toohey. Commended students place among the top five percent of more than 1.5 million students who entered the 2009 competition. SWAT (Super Walk-A-Thon) 2008 Is Huge Success. Congratulations to Marian’s Student Board, who made this year’s Walk-A-Thon another thrilling success. Walk-A-Thon, Marian’s annual student-driven fundraiser, was held on September 24, 2008. For the first time, the student body raised $100,000 during Walk-A-Thon an astounding 141 percent of goal. Class acheivements are as follows: Freshmen: 114 % of goal Sophomores: 124 % of goal Juniors: 156 % of goal Seniors: 161 % of goal Congratulations to the seniors who will have first pick of theme, color and demonstration order for Field Day in May 2009. Marian 2008 Golf Team Congratulations to Marian's 2008 golf team for taking the state title for the fourth year in a row on October 14, 2008! Marian's monthly Parent Newsletter has gone paperless.
